As the year comes to a close, many supporters choose to make contributions that not only strengthen the fight against sex trafficking and child exploitation but may also offer tax advantages. Because Our Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations made before December 31 may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. For those planning year-end charitable giving, this can be an effective way to maximize impact while completing annual tax preparations.

Does your employer offer a match?
Corporate matching programs offer another way to increase your impact. Thousands of companies match employee donations, sometimes doubling or even tripling gifts. Taking a moment to check your employer’s matching policy can significantly extend the reach of your support and help provide additional resources for rescue operations, survivor care, and prevention efforts.

- Securities & Stock Gifts — Donating appreciated assets may offer tax advantages and a high-impact way to give. Email [email protected]
- Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) – a direct transfer of funds from an IRA to a qualified charity for individuals age 70½ or older, and the distribution is excluded from taxable income. QCDs can satisfy all or part of a donor’s required minimum distribution (RMD) and allow the donor to avoid the tax liability that would normally come with taking the RMD.
