On January 13, 2026, Our Rescue team in Latin America partnered with the Ecuadorian National Police Anti-Trafficking Unit and the Attorney General’s Office in Operation Esperanza 04 in Quito.
What began as a missing person report led to the safe recovery of a 17-year-old survivor and her infant baby, both of whom had been caught in a devastating cycle of sex trafficking and were at risk of continued exploitation. Our Rescue provided logistical assistance so responders could act quickly, enabling the survivors to reach protective shelter and immediate care.
Survivor Care teams coordinated with local partners to ensure the young mother and her child received the support and protection they needed as they begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives.
