Within 48 hours, Our Rescue’s collaboration with the Ecuadorian National Police (ENP) Anti-Trafficking Unit (UNAT) and the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) in Ecuador resulted in the arrest of 4 individuals suspected of sexually exploiting children. Today, 4 children are now safe from sexual abuse.
In August of 2025, teams came together in Guayaquil to respond to the exploitation of a 14-year-old girl. Investigators uncovered two individuals suspected of coercing the child into forced marriage. The two individuals were taken into custody, and critical evidence was secured for further investigation. The 14-year-old girl is now safe and connected with needed support.
That same day, in Quevedo, another operation led to the identification and rescue of a 15-year-old who had been manipulated and trafficked for sex across borders by a 25-year-old suspect. Her case stretched into regions of both Ecuador and Peru, requiring collaboration to bring her home. Now she is safe.
The following day, August 21, began with a tip from a call no parent should have to make. A mother reported that her child was being exploited through child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Her urgent call set in motion a rescue operation that led to the arrest of a 65-year-old man accused of exploiting minors and sharing CSAM online. Investigators are continuing their work to understand the full scope of the sexual abuse, but now the child is safe from further harm.
Later that same day, another report led authorities to a 16-year-old girl also in danger. Within hours, teams worked together to locate her, intervene, and arrest a 63-year-old suspect who is now facing charges related to child exploitation and possible rape. The survivor is now receiving care and support as she begins to move forward.
