A Peruvian male was allegedly creating and sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) across multiple social media platforms. As authorities began examining the activity linked to these online accounts, investigators identified the individual behind the content. What they uncovered next suggested that the sexual exploitation was not just limited to the digital environment, but it was happening inside the suspect’s own home.

Investigators determined that three children were directly impacted: a 6-year-old girl, the stepdaughter of the suspect, and two boys—the man’s nephews—ages 6 and 13. Additional images involving other unidentified children were also discovered, intensifying the urgency of the case. With growing evidence and the safety of the minors at risk, authorities prepared an operation to intervene.

On a Tuesday morning, the Peruvian National Police (PNP), through its Directorate of Cyber Crime Investigations (DIRCIBERD), the Division of Child Cyber Protection (DIVCCP), and the Peruvian Public Ministry conducted an enforcement operation in the district of Chosica, Lima. Our Rescue personnel were asked to assist as partners in the intervention effort, providing support alongside the officers leading the case.

The teams arrived at the suspect’s residence and the 33-year-old male, an engineer by profession, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Public Ministry office for formal processing before the presiding judicial authority.

Following the man’s arrest, teams immediately focused on the well-being of the children. The three minors were safely brought out of the home and into protective care.

In the days ahead, Public Ministry prosecutors will meet with the children in a supportive, child-centered setting to help understand what they’ve experienced. Our Rescue will continue working closely with authorities to ensure each child receives the services, therapy, and ongoing support they may need.

As these children begin their healing journey, we continue our work. Every operation and every rescue depends on the people who stand with us.

This season, join Operation Giving Tree. Your support provides critical resources for future rescue efforts and ensures children receive the care they need.
