On February 5, 2026, Romanian authorities carried out an operation in Constanța that brought a trafficking network to light and put an immediate end to the exploitation of two young women whose lives had been pulled into it.

Investigators report a 15-year-old minor and a 19-year-old vulnerable young woman were manipulated through false promises of romantic relationships before being coerced into prostitution. What began as trust and attention quickly became control. According to prosecutors, members of the criminal group built emotional dependence and then used that trust to pressure the girls into exploitation for profit.

During a swift operation, Romanian Police worked alongside prosecutors to arrest five suspects in connection with the case, four men and one woman believed to have played different roles in recruiting, transporting, and profiting from the survivors. Authorities say the girls were moved between locations and pressured to continue generating money for the network.

For these two young women, the operation marked a turning point, an interruption in the cycle of exploitation and the beginning of a path toward safety.

However, the investigation remains ongoing.

Our Rescue partnered with OSINT Industries to support this operation and was honored to stand alongside Romanian partners and be present on the ground during the effort. Through partnerships like these, Our Rescue continues to support law enforcement with advanced technology, specialized training, operational logistics, and survivor aftercare services.

Rescue operations do not happen in isolation. They are the result of collaboration across borders and the continued support of people who believe exploitation should never go unanswered.

Because of you, survivors are finding safety and hope. Thank you for making operations like this possible.
