We are excited to announce the graduation of eight new Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9s from the Jordan Detection K9 training program! These incredible dogs completed their training on Friday, March 14, and are being placed in police departments across the country and Canada to help fight child exploitation. Our pal Glitch, heading to Oklahoma, is the first ever ESD K9 to be placed in a Tribal Nation, and Bear is Our Rescue’s first placement in New York.
Trained to detect a specific chemical scent found in electronic devices, these skilled dog detectives will assist law enforcement in uncovering hidden SD cards, external hard drives, and tablets—key tools predators often used to conceal child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The ESD K9s’ extraordinary noses help locate critical evidence that might otherwise go undetected.
After officers conduct their initial search, the dogs step in to ensure nothing is missed, frequently discovering crucial items the human eye cannot see.
Our Rescue is proud to sponsor this training. In partnership with Jordan Detection K9, we help equip these dogs and their handlers with the skills needed to support law enforcement in the fight against child exploitation.
Now deployed to their various agencies, these newest ESD K9 graduates are ready to begin putting predators behind bars and rescuing children.
