A 34-year-old Wyoming man faces 548 years in prison if he’s convicted of all the charges for the manufacturing, possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) following his arrest.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which allowed the DCI to trace the CSAM images to the man’s cellphone number.

With the help of a digital forensics device, an access tool that allows police to retrieve encrypted or inaccessible data from mobile devices, donated by Our Rescue, Wyoming authorities extracted CSAM from the man’s phone. It was discovered that a child survivor was sexually abused by the 34-year-old perpetrator for half her life (she is now 16 years old). The abuse depicted in the CSAM was so deeply disturbing and heartbreaking that, out of respect for the survivor and the gravity of their suffering, we choose not to share the details.

Now, thanks to the dedicated work of authorities in Wyoming, she can begin her healing journey.

Our Rescue’s donation of digital forensics devices to authorities in areas with smaller populations, like Wyoming, allows cases like this one to be fully prosecuted without barriers to accessing digital evidence.

Your donations make results like these happen – predators behind bars and children freed from exploitation.
