Safe Game Community Guidelines

Welcome to Safe Game! To ensure a positive experience for all, we've established the following guidelines. By participating in Safe Game, you agree to adhere to these standards.

1. Mission:

   • As a program of Our Rescue, Safe Game is a safe, fun, and trauma-informed community that strives to engage donors, advocates, influencers, and celebrities to join the fight against sex trafficking and child exploitation.
   • Predators are using more online tactics to exploit children than ever before. Safe Gamers fight back.

2. Acknowledgements

   • Non-Representative: As a volunteer you acknowledge that you are not an official representative of Our Rescue. Direct any serious inquiries to Our Rescue’s website: ourrescue.org and Our Rescue’s info line: [email protected] for official information.
   • Voluntary: Participating in Safe Game is voluntary and without promise or expectation of compensation, benefits or future employment from Our Rescue.
   • Violations: Violation of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary and/or permanent removal from community spaces, or legal action as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Our Rescue.

3. Uphold a Safe and Respectful Environment

   • Inclusivity and Respect: Foster a community that is inclusive, kind, and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of background or identity. Treat others with respect and dignity in all interactions.
   • Harassment and Hate Speech: Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or any form of intimidation is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments related to race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion.
   • Moderation Responsibilities: Utilize moderation tools to maintain a safe chat environment. Promptly address and remove any content or behavior that violates these guidelines.

4. Content Guidelines for Streaming

   • Approved Games: Stream games that align with our values. Avoid games that contain graphic violence, sexual content, or themes that may be distressing. Refer to Our Approved Games List for guidance. If unsure about a game's suitability, please contact us for clarification.

5. Chat and Interaction Standards

   • Safe Conversations: Approach discussions, especially on sensitive topics, with care and sensitivity. Avoid sharing explicit details or content that could be triggering to others.
   • Content Warnings: Provide content warnings when discussing potentially distressing topics to prepare your audience appropriately.

6. Compliance with Platform Policies

   • Adherence to Terms of Service: Follow the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines of the platforms you use (e.g., Twitch, YouTube). Violations on these platforms may impact your participation in Main Quest.
