Our Rescue is pleased to welcome Sonny Von Cleveland as Director of Public Engagement and Content, a role designed to support and amplify survivor centered engagement.
A nationally recognized advocate, author, speaker, and storyteller, Sonny brings lived experience and a commitment to healing, connection, and dignity. His work focuses on encouraging meaningful conversations that reduce stigma and support recovery pathways.
“Sonny’s authenticity and ability to connect with people through storytelling make him a powerful addition to our team,” said CEO Derek Benner. “He brings a rare ability to speak to both pain and possibility, and that perspective will help us deepen conversations, strengthen connection, and engage communities in more meaningful ways.”
As part of a deeper focus on public engagement, Our Rescue is expanding how it elevates survivor experiences through education, outreach, and meaningful dialogue. This role reflects a continued commitment to impactful storytelling that advances conversations around human trafficking and child exploitation while creating space for diverse voices and perspectives.
This role will also operate in close partnership with June Haskell, Our Rescue’s Survivor Advocate and leader of the Survivor Engagement division.
