Operation Global Impact (OGI) 2025 continues to make remarkable progress across Latin America, Asia, and Europe, with 212 arrests, 140 adults rescued, and 69 children rescued in less than three months. Thanks to the dedication of our in-country teams and your ongoing support, we are helping law enforcement bring traffickers to justice and providing survivors with the care and freedom they deserve.
We want to share four recent successful rescues that highlight the global impact of this surge effort.
In southern Chile, authorities discovered that a Chilean citizen was sexually abusing a two-year-old child while recording and sharing it online, creating child sexual abuse material (CSAM). On October 14, the Our Rescue team in Latin America partnered with the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) to intervene. Our team assisted with on-site logistics, technical support, and survivor care throughout the mission. The suspect was arrested, the child was safely reunited with her mother, and investigators seized key evidence from the suspect’s home. Our team continues to coordinate care and protection for the family.
A few days later in Santiago, a 13-year-old girl was being exploited by a man who used his phone and social media to contact her and share explicit material. On October 16, the Our Rescue team in Latin America once again joined PDI to rescue the child. Our team provided technical and logistical support, ensuring the success of a complex and sensitive mission. The suspect was arrested, and his phone was seized as evidence. Our team remains in contact with the survivor’s mother to provide continued care and support.
Across Thailand, minors from Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos were being trafficked and exploited in tourist areas. After months of investigation, Thailand’s Department of Special Investigation’s Bureau of Human Trafficking Crime (DSI HTC) requested Our Rescue’s support to identify suspects and survivors. On October 2, a coordinated operation led by DSI HTC, with support from Our Rescue and partner NGOs, resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the rescue of five survivors: four male teens and one woman. Our Survivor Care team, alongside Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development, provided immediate support. Our Digital Forensics unit also assisted DSI in examining two mobile devices for evidence under official supervision.
Meanwhile in Spain, several women were deceived with false job offers and then forced into commercial sexual exploitation upon arrival. Their passports were taken, and they endured harsh living and working conditions while traffickers profited from their sexual exploitation. Through a coordinated effort involving the Spanish National Police, INTERPOL, the Colombian National Police, five suspects were arrested, and eight survivors were rescued. Our Rescue’s Survivor Care team, alongside a Spanish anti-trafficking NGO, were on-site to ensure the survivors received immediate care and support.
Operation Global Impact 2025 is a united initiative that is spanning continents, strengthening partnerships, and protecting the vulnerable, all while helping pursue justice for survivors around the world.
