Operation Global Impact (OGI) 2025 was a groundbreaking international effort, bringing together law enforcement agencies and Our Rescue teams across three regions to tackle sex trafficking and child exploitation. In October, the operation concluded, and the final numbers are now in:
- 338 survivors rescued, including 74 children
- 243 individuals arrested, now facing criminal charges for their roles in these crimes.
The survivors recovered during the operation endured unimaginable trauma, but this coordinated effort has provided them a chance to reclaim their lives. Our Rescue continues to work alongside local and international partners to provide comprehensive care, ensuring that every survivor has access to the support, resources, and opportunities needed to rebuild safely and on their own terms.
This achievement was made possible by the dedication of law enforcement, the hard work of NGO partners, and the unwavering support of our community. Every donation, every message shared, and every person who chose to act contributed to making this operation a success.
We’re still finalizing reports from the regions impacted by this incredible surge and can’t wait to share them with you over the next few months, highlighting the lives changed.
Planning for future international surge operations is already underway, and together we remain committed to dismantling criminal networks, rescuing survivors, and creating a safer world for children everywhere.
Here are some of the most recent OGI successes:
14 Survivors Identified, 25-Year-Old Arrested in Thailand for CSAM
On October 21, police arrested a 25-year-old Thai man accused of distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) for commercial purposes. Our Rescue supported Thai authorities, providing digital forensics experts, Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9 team, and communications support during the law enforcement operation.
Investigators confirmed that the suspect had downloaded and sold CSAM through Telegram and VK, though he had not created the material himself. Six devices containing large volumes of CSAM and links to distribution groups were seized, and fourteen survivors were identified from the content. The suspect was charged with possession of CSAM for commercial exploitation, and all identified survivors provided statements to support the case.
9-Year-Old Rescued in Chile
On October 30, police discovered a Chilean man accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Our Rescue supported a police action led by the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) in San Bernardo. Our team provided technical assistance and logistical support, helping ensure the successful execution of this complex operation.
Investigators confirmed that the suspect had used manipulation and deceit to obtain sexually explicit images from the young child. A mobile phone and laptop were seized as evidence and are now being processed. The man was quickly arrested and the child is now safe.
Transnational Coordination Between Chile and Ecuador Teams
Also on October 30, police arrested an Ecuadorian national wanted under an INTERPOL Red Notice for sexual exploitation. Our Rescue supported Operation Sin Frontera, an international police action coordinated between law enforcement agencies in Chile and Ecuador in Antofagasta. Our teams in both countries provided logistical support and helped coordinate the investigation, connecting agents and building the case across borders.
Investigators confirmed that the suspect had deceived 13-year-old minors into sexual acts by promising money, clothing, shoes, and other items. As a result of these crimes, the children were infected with HIV, later confirmed through DNA forensic testing. The suspect was arrested, and the minors are now safe from further harm.
55 Women Rescued in Peru
On October 24-25, police rescued 55 women, including 33 Venezuelans and 22 Peruvians in Lima. Our Rescue supported the multi-location operation, providing technical assistance and logistical support to more than 400 officers from multiple Peruvian National Police divisions.
Investigators targeted organized criminal networks involved in human trafficking and sexual exploitation of vulnerable women. Six people were arrested, and digital devices, including cellphones, notebooks, DVRs, and POS systems, were seized as evidence. The police action also restored multiple public spaces and disrupted criminal activity across the district.
This is what is possible when law enforcement, Our Rescue, and supporters around the world work together. Every survivor rescued, and every offender brought to justice is a reminder that together we can save lives. We are proud of what has been achieved and remain committed to supporting future international operations, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are protected and traffickers are held accountable.
