In Ecuador, two 7-year-old girls were allegedly being sexually exploited by their father.
In February of 2026, investigators from the Ecuadorian National Police (ENP) Anti-Trafficking Unit (UNAT) discovered child sexual abuse material (CSAM) featuring the two children in sexually explicit photographs that were being distributed to a social media group.
Working alongside the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and with the support of Our Rescue, ENP UNAT initiated a search and arrest warrant at the suspect’s home to find evidence of ongoing sexual abuse. Once inside the home, officers began their search and quickly noted that much of the evidence was deliberately hidden. Our Rescue-sponsored Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9 Samai then joined the scene to help with the search, moving through the space with focus.
Within minutes, Samai alerted to a drawer filled with clothes. Investigators searched the drawer carefully and found a hidden tablet. In another room, Samai led police to a hard drive that was concealed inside a closet belonging to one of the children.
By the end of the search, K9 Samai had helped authorities find and seize 3 computers, 2 tablets and one cell phone, each one potentially holding evidence in the case.
On-scene, officers arrested the 32-year-old father suspected of these crimes.
Today, the two children reside with their mother. Our Rescue Survivor Care has offered financial assistance to help pay for therapy to support their healing journey and to assist the children further along the path of hope.
No child deserves to live in constant fear of sexual abuse and exploitation. Especially when harm comes from someone a child trusts to love and care for them. At Our Rescue, we are committed to bringing justice to those who harm children. Donate now to support our mission.
