Raising our voices, taking our steps, and standing together as we race for a safer future for every child in Ecuador
On September 20, 2026, hundreds of runners, families, advocates, and community members will gather in Manta, Ecuador, for the second annual El Poder De Tu Voz, The Power of Your Voice, 1K–5K–10K Race, is an event that transforms every step into a stand for children. This year, we’re asking participants to join us in the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation – to rise up and stand up together! Bring your family – and pets – to walk or run alongside our Electronic Storage Canine (ESD K9) Samai as we raise awareness.
The Power of Your Voice Race is hosted by Our Rescue in collaboration with the Manta Mayor Office’s Misiones del Cambio, Manta Host Hotel, and several sponsors. This unique race combines fitness, family fun, and social impact to raise awareness about human trafficking and child sexual exploitation while supporting programs that protect children and adolescents across Ecuador. Every dollar raised through your participation and donations will support our law enforcement partners in identifying and rescuing survivors while also supporting survivor led initiatives. The Power of Your Voice is more than a race—it is a movement.
Every day, children and teens face online risks that threaten their safety, freedom, and future. Through this event, participants help shine a light on those challenges while supporting prevention and protection efforts that make a real difference in communities throughout Ecuador.
The race serves as a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility that involves us all. When individuals and communities choose to speak up, listen, educate, and take action, they help make the world a safer place where children can thrive. Every registration and every dollar directly support programs dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and adolescents. Every kilometer completed represents another step, another commitment, to building a future free from human trafficking and child exploitation.
An Event for the Entire Family
Designed to bring together participants of all ages, the event promotes healthy living, community engagement, and family connection through sport.
This year’s race includes three categories:
- 1K Race: Best for families and children ages 8-12 (Dog friendly)
- 5K Race: Best for anyone looking to enjoy the race
- 10K Race: Best for those looking to compete
The event will begin at 6:30 a.m. at Mega Parque Centenario Agustín Intriago in Manta.
Participants will enjoy a scenic course that starts at the Mega Parque Civic Plaza and continues past the iconic Tuna Monument and Playita Mía, circling back to the finish line at the park.
What to Expect on Race Day
Each registered participant will receive an Official Race Kit that includes:
- Official event T-shirt
- Race bib number
- Identification wristband
- Sponsor gifts and promotional items
- Pet friendly participants will also receive their own commemorative race t-shirt!
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, hydration stations will be available along the route, and medical personnel and event staff will be on-site throughout the morning.
After the races conclude, the top three finishers in each category will be recognized during an awards ceremony. First-place winners will receive prizes, while second- and third-place finishers will receive special recognition for their achievement.

Throughout the event our partners and sponsors will have several stands filled with arts and crafts, music, food, and more. Bring your loved ones to show your support and enjoy this family- and pet-friendly event.
How to Register
Registration is $20 per participant, which includes the Official Race Kit and event participation fee.
Registration fee for canines is $10 per participating pet. Each participating pet must be accompanied by a registered adult/teen companion to participate.

Race kit pickup will take place on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Concha Acústica in Megaparque Agustín Intriago.
