For over a year, Our Rescue has partnered with OSINT Industries to help law enforcement address human trafficking and child exploitation. This collaboration has now expanded through a formal agreement and ongoing joint efforts to equip investigators with advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and training that help rescue children and put predators behind bars.

Together, teams have supported law enforcement agencies across Europe, including Romania, Italy, Kosovo, Spain, and Malta. These efforts focus on helping investigators find predators, uncover hidden networks, and develop leads that may result in an arrests. Building from a single data point like an email address, phone number, or username, officers are able to map broader criminal activity, locate children in need, and strengthen legal cases.

This training addresses a critical gap. Law enforcement agencies often face complex, technology-driven crimes without the tools or resources needed to keep pace. OSINT capabilities help bridge that gap, allowing investigators to move faster and with greater precision while strengthening outcomes for the cases they are working to resolve.

Tools, Techniques, and New Space for Collaboration in Kosovo

From March 3–5, 2026, Our Rescue partnered with OSINT Industries to deliver specialized OSINT training to the Kosovo Police Human Trafficking Unit and CyberCrime Unit.

Fourteen officers from regional directorates across the country participated in the training. As part of this effort, Our Rescue provided laptops to eight regional officers who previously did not have access to this essential equipment, enabling them to fully engage in digital investigations moving forward.

During the three-day training, the OSINT instructor worked directly with officers on approximately five active cases. Investigators applied new techniques in real time, while additional officers outside the training called in to request support. The training also resulted in a new space for collaboration between units, with participants sharing case insights and working together to strengthen ongoing investigations.

At the conclusion of the training, officers reflected on what they learned, describing it as practical, relevant, and immediately applicable to their work. The tools and techniques introduced during the sessions will continue to support their efforts in identifying survivors and advancing cases.

Strengthening Specialized Investigations in Spain

Our Rescue also partnered with OSINT Industries to provide specialized OSINT training to the Spanish National Police, with a focus on internet crimes against children (ICAC) and human trafficking investigations.

Law enforcement officers who participated in the training lauded it as a practical application of the tools and techniques that were introduced during the training. They agreed that the skills they gained will directly support their investigative work and will be particularly useful in helping to identify suspects and develop stronger cases involving child exploitation.

Strengthening Cybercrime Investigations Through OSINT Training in Malta

From April 1–5, 2026, Our Rescue partnered with OSINT Industries to deliver specialized OSINT training to the Cyber Crimes Unit of the Malta Police Force. Sixteen officers participated in the training, strengthening their ability to investigate online exploitation using advanced digital tools and techniques.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in sessions covering web search methodologies, digital identifiers, visual and media analysis, and an introduction to the dark web. The training combined technical instruction with hands-on application, allowing officers to immediately put new skills into practice.

A key highlight came during the final day’s “Capture the Flag” exercise, where participants worked through real-world investigative challenges. As Police Inspector Karl Vince Sammut shared:

“The delivery throughout the week was clear, well-structured, and engaging, which contributed significantly to the overall learning experience.

A key highlight of the course was the final day’s Capture the Flag exercise, which allowed participants to apply the knowledge gained in a practical and interactive environment. This exercise proved extremely valuable in reinforcing both the skills covered during the training and participants’ prior experience.”

Our Rescue continues to work alongside partners like OSINT Industries to support law enforcement with the tools, training, and resources needed to help fight human trafficking and bring children to safety. These sessions are available to law enforcement to help them strengthen specialized, often technologically complex, investigations.

Donor support makes this possible. Thank you for helping us power the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation around the world.
