FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SALT LAKE CITY – July 24, 2026 – Our Rescue, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and child exploitation, today announced a new matching gift campaign of $64,000 that will help boost engagement in the final days of this month’s Rise Up campaign. This is the second matching gift contribution Our Rescue has received this month, a “final push” aimed at maximizing support for the fight against human trafficking.
Thanks to the generosity of the McGlothlin Family Foundation, all new recurring gifts of $20 or more and one-time donations of $100 or more made to Our Rescue will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $64,000.
“Our Rescue is grateful to all supporters who have joined us in this year’s Rise Up campaign, and we are particularly fortunate to have received matching gift contributions from not one but two foundations,” said Teresa Harland, SVP of Advancement at Our Rescue. In addition to support from the McGlothlin Family Foundation, Our Rescue received a matching gift contribution from the Three Sisters Foundation when the campaign began on July 1.
Harland noted that the final week of this month’s campaign is themed Rise Up_Together, and the McGlothlin’s gift is “a generous way to both salute all the efforts that have come before us and help ignite a new wave of energy to reach our funding goals.”
The matching gift reflects the McGlothlins’ longstanding commitment to strengthening North Texas communities through philanthropy, advocacy, and civic engagement. While the Foundation’s contribution supports domestic anti-trafficking efforts that benefit the region they call home, the public matching challenge extends that impact far beyond Texas by inviting supporters everywhere to join the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation.
“The McGlothlin Family Foundation is proud to stand with Our Rescue in the fight to end human trafficking and child exploitation. We chose to launch this matching gift alongside Rise Up because we believe in meeting urgency with action. Every dollar given will go twice as far in rescuing survivors and restoring lives,” said Mark McGlothlin, a representative of the McGlothlin Family Foundation. “Our family has long believed that real change happens when communities show up together, and we’re honored to help inspire that kind of collective response.”
Mark is the Vice President of Field Operations at Empire Roofing. His first hands-on, donor experience with Our Rescue was when he attended an ESD K9 training and graduation ceremony; he left very moved and ready to support a team in his Fort Worth home. Mark, his mom, Sandra McGlothlin, and sister, Cheryl Chapman, are all involved in philanthropic decision-making for the Foundation.
“What begins with a family’s commitment to their local community becomes an opportunity for a global movement of supporters to Rise Up together,” added Harland.
The Rise Up campaign coincides with World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30 and serves as a cornerstone of Our Rescue’s month-long Rise Up initiative, which aims to educate, equip, and mobilize individuals, families, communities, businesses, and organizations in the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation.
Human trafficking and child exploitation have reached epidemic levels, affecting communities across the United States and around the world. Thanks to our generous donors, Our Rescue is a force magnifier, supporting and working with the frontlines in the fight against trafficking and exploitation. We partner with law enforcement, governments, healthcare professionals, survivor advocates, and so many more because together, we can and will Rise Up to help protect vulnerable individuals and bring criminals to justice.
This gift match offers supporters another opportunity to directly contribute to those efforts while maximizing the impact of their giving. Please visit OurRescue.org/RiseUp to learn more about the Rise Up campaign or to make a matched donation to support Our Rescue’s mission.
