As Americans we joyfully celebrate our freedom during the month of July. But there are 49.6 million people in modern slavery worldwide and 35% of them are children. (ILO,United Nations). They are enslaved in the second largest illicit industry in the United States — human trafficking. OUR Rescue leads the fight against child sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
We invite you to join with us in the fight for freedom and RISE UP against human trafficking. It’s time we recognize that it’s happening right here in our own communities, in our own homes, to our own children. It’s time we GET LOUD in talking about a topic that’s difficult for sure, but a discussion that is vitally necessary to put an end to this horrible crime.
Starting at 5:30pm on Tuesday, July 30 at Thanksgiving Point in Utah, we will culminate a month-long celebration of freedom and honor World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
Thousands of OUR supporters will attend this family-friendly event and concert. They’ll come prepared to eat at one of the many food truck options available. Games and activities will be available for the kids, including K9 demonstrations. Parents will learn how to keep their kids safe online. And the evening will end with a fun and energizing concert by Nashville’s SIXWIRE. If you’re passionate about ending human trafficking, we invite you to Rise Up and Get Loud.
