This fall, Our Rescue is launching Operation Global Impact 2025, a coordinated international surge operation across 10 countries in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
We expect multiple operations with police partners in the coming weeks to identify and rescue survivors of sex trafficking and child exploitation, helping to dismantle the criminal networks behind these crimes. Our teams have already been deployed, with 13 law enforcement actions completed in Latin America and 5 in Asia, that resulted in 26 arrests and the rescue of 17 children. This is just the beginning.
Because these are sensitive law enforcement operations, we are not at liberty to release details about individual law enforcement actions to the public until they are cleared by authorities. We take this approach to protect the integrity of the investigation and to ensure successful outcomes – survivors freed, traffickers arrested, and evidence secured for prosecution.
This global surge comes off the heels of a successful domestic operation in partnership with the Interstate Justice Coalition, where multiple survivors were rescued and critical investigations were strengthened. Collaborations like these accelerate the critical work of law enforcement and community partners by uniting us in a shared mission to combat sex trafficking and child exploitation.
What makes Operation Global Impact 2025 so powerful is that it’s not a series of isolated, one-off operations, it’s a coordinated, goal-driven effort strategized to reach and help as many survivors as possible in a specific window of time. Our Rescue’s new Surge Operation model allows our teams to be more agile, moving in when needed, with purpose-built tools and support customized to the operational needs of law enforcement agencies in the area.
“Operation Global Impact 2025 is about more than numbers; it’s about our commitment to the most vulnerable among us. Real people with real lives who deserve to live free from exploitation,” says John Trenary, Our Rescue Vice President of Mission for Asia. “That’s why we stand shoulder to shoulder with our law enforcement partners across the globe, working together to protect children and dismantle trafficking networks.”
This massive surge operation is a complex, multinational effort. Our Rescue support to law enforcement and aligned partners will look different in every country, but some examples are:
- International Partner Equipment & Technology: Law enforcement partners will be using equipment and technology donated by Our Rescue to aid operations.
- Case Support: Our Rescue, in close coordination with our international partners, will ensure pre/post operational case assistance to strengthen investigations and follow-up.
- On-the-Ground Logistical Support: Our Rescue will provide technology and related training to law enforcement prior to operations, support with logistics as needed during the law enforcement actions, and offer additional assistance after rescues/arrests are made
- Ground Survivor Support: Our trauma-informed Survivor Care team will stand ready to assist our partners with survivors to support their needs after the surge operations.
- ESD K9s Samai and Winner: Our specialized ESD K9 units will support in Latin America and Asia to enhance search and rescue efforts.
Why Your Support Matters
This is where you come in. We urgently need YOUR help to fund this surge. Every donation expands our reach, strengthens investigations, and ensures survivors receive the care they desperately need.
Over the next six weeks, we’ll share updates on Operation Global Impact 2025, including stories of lives being transformed and the ongoing work to hold traffickers accountable. Your support not only fuels these operations, but it also makes you part of the solution, standing alongside us to protect those in need.
“Every donor who stands with us is part of each rescue, fueling the operations that make freedom possible,” says John Trenary.
This is our mission. And with your generous support, we make each rescue, our rescue.
