Operation Badik – Back-to-Back Arrests in the Fight Against Child Exploitation
Our Rescue Indonesia and law enforcement strike again just 48 hours apart.

Before the dust could settle from Operation Borneo Bound, the Our Rescue team in Indonesia boarded another flight, this time headed to South Sulawesi. Why? Because in a rented house in Sidrap City, a man was quietly operating behind a screen, sharing content that should never exist. The devices he used were ordinary: a laptop, a mobile phone. But the harm they carried was far from ordinary. He was distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The material featured the sexual abuse of real lives, children’s lives,

With no time to waste, our team regrouped in Jakarta, boarded a flight to Makassar, and began the five-hour drive to Sidrap. By the time dawn broke, we were ready, standing side-by-side with our law enforcement partners.

Our Rescue

Coordinating with Sidrap Resort Police, the team moved quickly. The suspect was found at his residence, arrested by authorities on-site, and taken into custody. The team then collected evidence, including digital devices that will now help investigators trace the depth of the suspect’s involvement. At the police station, the man admitted to the charges. From there, he was transferred to Makassar and flown to Jakarta, where the case continues.

Two arrests in two different provinces. Two men suspected of harming children arrested within 48 hours of each other. Behind every successful operation like this one is a team that refuses to slow down, even when the work is exhausting. A team that understands the urgency of child exploitation and treats every lead like a life depends on it. We are incredibly grateful to our law enforcement partners in Indonesia who are dedicated to this critical work.

Operation Borneo Bound and Operation Badik send a strong message- that TOGETHER our refusal to let predators remain in the shadows can create real change and help real children.
