Protecting Children Before Exploitation Happens: Strengthening Ecuador’s Fight Against Online Trafficking

In November 2025, Our Rescue Mission LATAM in Ecuador partnered with Ecuadorian authorities to provide specialized training for 120 judges, prosecutors, and police officers focused on identifying and combating human trafficking and child exploitation in online environments.

Held in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the workshop brought together key decision-makers from across Ecuador’s justice system to address a growing challenge: trafficking recruitment in virtual spaces.

Bringing a Vulnerable 9-Year-Old Girl to Safety: Our Rescue’s Team in Asia Supports Field Operations in North Thailand

On May 20, 2026, Our Rescue’s team in Asia partnered with the Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children (TICAC) Task Force, to support an arrest and rescue mission in North Thailand. The operation began with a Cyber Tip from NCMEC and a critical need to identify a suspect and his location. TICAC requested support from Our Rescue specifically to help provide access to Survivor Care and to help with operational on-the-ground logistics such as covering expenses for accommodations, vehicle rental, fuel costs and providing photography services for the case.

This collaborative operation was a success, resulting in the arrest of a 50-year-old male suspected of child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Turning Training into Action: How OSINT Partnerships Are Strengthening the Fight to Protect Children in Romania

Behind every major enforcement operation is a quieter story—one that begins long before search warrants are executed, or arrests are made. It begins with training rooms, case simulations, and the steady building of skills that help investigators recognize what others might miss: the digital traces left behind when a child is being exploited.

On May 14th, Our Rescue supported the Romanian National Police Anti-Trafficking and Cybercrime Units during Operation Walkers, a coordinated enforcement action targeting individuals involved in child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and related exploitation offenses. The operation led to the execution of 21 search warrants and the detention of nine individuals suspected of participating in these crimes. Multiple electronic devices were seized and are currently undergoing forensic analysis by Romanian authorities, with evidentiary findings to be submitted to the prosecutor’s office for continued legal proceedings.

Tracking Hidden Evidence: How One ESD K9 is Helping Fight Human Trafficking in Alaska

After more than a year of investigation, law enforcement agencies across Alaska executed search warrants at seven businesses in Anchorage and the Matanuska Susitna Valley as part of an investigation into suspected sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. During the coordinated operation, investigators collected evidence, identified potential victims, and arrested seven individuals on trafficking-related charges.

As officers searched locations connected to the investigation, Sunny focused on a type of evidence that often goes unnoticed during trafficking cases: hidden cameras.
