How long is the training?

The training is 1 hour long.  It automatically saves your progress so you can take it at your own pace.

The Learn More section of the training has a couple hours of supplemental content for you to deepen your knowledge and strengthen your skills to properly identify and respond to instances of human trafficking.

I can't get past the login page. What do I need to do?

Make sure you click the box agreeing to our privacy policy. The training will not let you continue unless you do this. This site is optimized to run best on modern browsers so make sure your device is up to date. If you are still having trouble, try shutting down your browser and re-opening it.  Know that the training is available on mobile devices as well as Mac and PC computers, so you can also try accessing the training from a different platform if you continue to have problems. Additionally, switching your Internet browser to Google chrome or Safari may resolve the issue. Please send us an email at knowthesigns@ourrescue.org if you run into problems so we can help you fix them.  

I can't get past the "My Information" page. What do I need to do?

The training will not let you continue unless you have selected a response for each of the fields.  If you are still having trouble, try logging out, shutting down your browser and re-opening the training. Know that the training is available on mobile devices as well as desktop computers, so you can always try accessing the training from a different platform. Additionally, switching your Internet browser to Google chrome or Safari may resolve the issue. You can also email knowthesigns@ourrescue.org and leave your name and number and we will help you out.

The training is stuck and won't let me continue. What should I do?

This site is optimized to run best on modern browsers. Make sure you are using devices that have software that is up to date.  Sometimes logging out and logging back into the training will resolve your issue. Additionally, know that the training is available on mobile devices as well as Mac and PC computers, so you can also try accessing the training from a different platform. Switching your Internet browser to Google chrome or Safari may resolve your issue as well. You can email us at knowthesigns@ourrescue.org, leave your name, phone number and explain the problem you are having and we will get back to you.  

After submitting my answers in the review quiz the training won't let me move on. What should I do?

The training requires you to get every question right before continuing. Look through the questions and make sure they are all correct and then click on the "submit" button when it appears at the bottom of the screen.This site is optimized to run best on modern browsers, so make sure your device is up to date.  We also recomment you use Google Chrome or Safari web browsers to take the training.  If the button still isn't working, contact us at knowthesigns@ourrescue.org with your name and number so we can help you. You can also try using a different Internet browser, or different device as the training works on mobile and desktop computer devices.

The training isn't working. What can I do?

If you are having problems with accessing any of the content of the training, and have already tried troubleshooting according to the suggestions in our other FAQs, please contact us at knowthesigns@ourrescue.org. Send your name, email address, and explain the problem and we will get back to you.

How can I view the training videos again?

Go to the Learn More section and click on Training Videos.

What age is this training appropriate for.

The training is designed for 16 and over, but we highly recommend guardians complete the training before recommending it to their children.

Is it safe for my kids to have social media accounts?

Social media is an important form of communication in the modern era.  As long as guardians teach their children about Internet Safety, maintain open communication, monitor all social media usage and passwords, and use privacy settings, social media can be a great resource for youth.
