A couple of months ago, members from the O.U.R. Team were in South America checking in on survivors at one of our partner aftercare homes. After a fun-filled day together, a hopeful young survivor asked, “When will you come back to see us?”
O.U.R. Executive Director Jerry Gowen explained to the young survivor that our Aftercare Team would be back very soon to provide care. They had been there many times before, and will continue to return. He then explained to this energetic little girl that there was a whole team working behind the scenes to take care of them: we have a team that rescues kids, a team that takes care of them, a team that shares our stories, a team that spreads awareness, and so on.
The young girl listened intently. When Jerry finished explaining, she ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. “You are important too,” she said.
The words of this young survivor also apply to our dedicated Abolitionists and supporters: YOU are important too. You are directly changing the lives of these children with your dedicated support. Thank you for making our work possible.

Thank you for sharing article and information. this is very helpful for beginner.
I can’t express enough how thankful I am for the O.U.R. program and all the amazing people who have sacrificed to benefit the victims of these
heinous crimes. I could not stop crying as I heard Tim Ballard’s story of rescuing and adopting so many children.
My husband and I are 65 years old. We adopted three foster children and were foster parents for several years. My husband is a retired Fire Fighter and I am a retired teacher. Currently I plan to volunteer in one of your fund raising programs. In the near future I would like to serve by fostering and/or volunterring in the after care program. I have several questions about how and where this takes place. Is there anyone I could speak to regarding my questions? Thanks for you time!
