One of the key pillars of our mission at O.U.R. is to empower local law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges. We believe that “teaching a person to fish” will lead to more sustainable and systematic improvement, as well as generational change.

In November, O.U.R. facilitated the travel of current U.S. law enforcement officers, as well a former prosecutor, to Bogota, Colombia to train the Colombian National Police team which works closely with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Over the course of a week, our Colombian partners learned about online investigation techniques, undercover investigation, and basic computer forensics.

We believe that these tools will assist Colombia in its goal to track down and apprehend child predators and child pornographers both within their borders and around the world.
