Don’t Donut, DONATE!
Instead of spending money on donuts this Friday, June 5th, for National Donut Day, you can donate a couple bucks to O.U.R.! Just go to any donut shop giving out free donuts and donate the money you would have spent to help rescue kids. Whether you are a sprinkle lover, a jelly-filled fan, or a plain ‘ole glazed-type, donate to O.U.R. this Friday and join us in spreading joy and saving children. Donut if you want, just don’t forget to donate HERE!
National Donut Day was started in 1938 to remember volunteers who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. The volunteers wanted to bring joy and cheer to those who were serving in the military. Our Jump Team members, who go on rescue missions to save children from slavery all around the world, served in the military, and would like nothing more than to raise enough money to finance their next rescue mission!
Take a picture with your free donut and the post #dontdonutdonate on social media to help others see how they can make National Donut Day not only delicious, but also a way to help rescue children.
Want to do even more to help? How about posting a photo with #dontdonutdonate to social media every time you eat a donut all year round? That would be pretty sweet.
Places to get free donuts:
Krispy Kreme
Dunkin’ Donuts (with purchase of beverage)
