O.U.R. empowers and supports law enforcement across the United States with the tools, technology and training they need to more effectively combat child sex trafficking in their jurisdictions. One way we do this is to facilitate the national deployment of Electronic Storage Device (ESD) detection canines – dogs that sniff out evidence to prosecute child predators.
This program entails O.U.R. partnering with a premier K9 trainer who saves Labrador Retrievers who would otherwise be euthanized. These special pups are then trained to recognize the unique chemical scent of electronic storage devices, such as thumb drives, hard drives, SIM cards, etc.
These devices are routinely hidden by child predators in an attempt to hide sexually abusive and exploitative images of children from significant others and law enforcement.
Such small devices are easily hidden and difficult to locate when law enforcement search warrants are executed. These dogs quickly sniff out evidence that a human investigator alone would need much longer to find, if even found at all.
This evidence is pivotal to a successful prosecution. These special dogs are an extraordinary added layer of detection when a suspected predator is being investigated. The success rate of these dogs is astounding, and often leads to successful convictions of these child predators.
In 2019 alone, the O.U.R. dogs have helped with 65 operations, 101 arrests, and 14 rescues!

These extraordinary ESD dogs have become integral assets in the fight against child sex trafficking in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington. To date, these skilled dogs have sniffed out over 100 evidence holding devices.
All of the dogs we have trained are rescues and would otherwise be destined for destruction. Once these dogs are rescued and trained, they help rescue children in return! O.U.R. is anxious to train more dogs so they can be placed with law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation as quickly as we are able.
You would receive first-hand experience, get to meet the dog and their trainer, and receive direct updates about their progress!
