This month, O.U.R. Aftercare Director Jessica Mass was able to visit an equine therapy program in New York run by a woman named Jane. Jessica was blown away by the quality of care and expertise that she observed there.

Having several acres of land in New York reserved for youth to be able to pursue the passion of riding horses and healing is very uncommon.

Jane is the founder of this nonprofit equine therapy program in New York that also helps youth apply for college and receive merit-based scholarships.
We are excited that O.U.R. connected with Jane because equine therapy can help survivors of human trafficking heal from their experiences. In addition, Jane’s program has addressed both emotional barriers and economic barriers that many survivors face. We look forward to having another partner resource for survivors, and to following the good work Jane accomplishes within her program.
